Supporting you during the Coronavirus outbreak

Following on from the announcement by the Govt to stay at home for the next few weeks, we just wanted to reassure you that your supplies will continue to be delivered.

Delivery drivers delivering medical supplies are exempt from the ban on movement. This means we will continue to deliver your supplies to your door. There will be no requirement to sign for deliveries to ensure a contactless process to keep you safe.

There is no need to order more than you need or usually would. Our phone lines are busy as you would expect, if you want to place an order and are having difficulty getting through, you can email your request through to us at enquiry@amcaregroup.co.uk. We are checking emails every hour.

Here at ConvaTec and Amcare we are closely monitoring the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, and will do everything necessary to keep our customers, employees and partners safe.

We will support any guidance made by the World Health Organisation (WHO), and fully comply to decisions made by local governments and care authorities on matters relating to containing, managing and supporting those at risk or affected by the Virus.

We know that many of our customers may be concerned about the supply and delivery of their stoma and urology/continence products. We want to provide assurance that we will continue to care for customers through this very difficult and uncertain time. Supported by our own dedicated manufacturing operation, we are in constant contact with our own suppliers, partners and support organisations to ensure we can continue to provide your important products when you need them.

There is currently no impact on our ability to supply our stoma and urology/continence products to customers across the globe, and we encourage all customers to continue to order their regular supplies.

We have put together a range of precautionary safety measures and plans in place to protect our employees and customers and can advise the following:

  • Our stoma products, whether produced by ConvaTec or in partnership with outsourced partners, are not manufactured in countries with high levels of reported cases of Coronavirus, this includes China.
  • Where possible our employees will work from home and have been provided with equipment and technology to continue to support you however you may need us.
  • You can continue to place orders through Amcare on the phone, email or online, and we will deliver products straight to your front door. If you instruct us to, we can leave your order somewhere safe, there is no requirement to sign for parcels.
  • If you need clinical help regarding your stoma or require help with your urological/continence needs, you can access our dedicated nursing team who are happy to offer you advice over the phone and via FaceTime if preferred.   • In the interest of containing the spread of the virus, we have cancelled all patient and employee events until further notice.
