Many people assume they don’t have a choice in who delivers their prescription in the UK, especially if the delivery company was recommended by their nurse or GP. But, as a user of urology and continence or stoma products, it’s your choice. You can choose any delivery company you want and change at any time.

Arranging for Amcare to deliver your supplies is simple and quick. There is no need to inform your existing delivery company that you no longer need them to manage your requirements.

Q. Is there a risk I’ll be left without supplies?

Not at all, if your need is urgent, we can contact your GP to request a prescription and arrange for your order to be dispatched on the same day.

Q. Is the process of setting up a new account complicated?

No, it’s really easy. The whole process takes just a few minutes. Our Customer Care Advisors will do this for you. Please call 0800 88 50 50 (stoma care), 0800 028 4131 (urology and continence), or register online. We will contact your GP on your behalf and get it all set up for you. You don’t even need to tell your existing delivery company that you no longer need them to deliver. 

Q. Will the NHS have to pay more?

No. The NHS covers the cost of your deliveries.

Q. Will it cost me to have supplies delivered?

No. Delivery is free of charge, plus all new customers receive our starter kit and complimentary items with their prescription.

Q. Will I be able to order my usual products?

Amcare stocks a wide range of products available in the UK on prescription. Our world-class Customer Care Advisors and our delivery providers DPD are dedicated to making sure you receive the right products at the right time to the right address.

Q. Will I get my supplies on time and to the right address?

Yes, our Customer Care Advisors are dedicated to doing just that. Our focus is on delivering the right products, at the right time to the right address, supported with advice whenever you need it. 

Q. Will I get good service?

All of our Customer Care Advisors are carefully chosen to ensure that only those who can deliver and maintain our high standards are recruited. We train our staff to the highest standard to ensure they have the appropriate product training to assist you with any enquiry.
